As of April 2026, the situation in the Middle East has begun to affect the supply of construction materials.
In particular, for plumbing and sanitary equipment, supply instability of naphtha — one of the key raw materials — has led several manufacturers to suspend new orders or limit shipments.
On April 13, 2026, TOTO announced the suspension of new orders for unit bath systems.
Following this, similar actions have been observed among other manufacturers, including order limitations, indefinite delivery times, and suspension of new orders.
At this point, it remains unclear how far these impacts will spread.
There is also a possibility that materials beyond plumbing equipment may be affected in the future.
For our ongoing new construction projects, we are currently proceeding by using alternative products where necessary.
For projects already under contract or in progress, we are providing updates on a case-by-case basis.
While no significant price increases have been confirmed at this time, manufacturers are expected to revise their pricing, and depending on the situation, construction costs may be affected.
Please note that buildings cannot be handed over without the installation of essential equipment such as plumbing fixtures. Therefore, depending on supply conditions, project timelines may also be impacted.
At present, no major disruptions have been observed in our ongoing projects.
We will continue to monitor the situation closely and take all possible measures to minimize the impact.
However, future new construction and renovation projects may be affected in terms of both cost and schedule.
Thank you for your understanding.
